What is Neuropathy?

Neuropathy is something very technical for me. It covers medical facts which need to be understood, so proper treatment will be met. Some of my family members like my mother and my uncle experienced the harsh consequence of having a Neuropathy in feet. And I’m grateful for not having one, because if I have, I would probably die in pain. I bet anyone will never wish to have this kind of disease even for a payment of a well-off life.
I remember how my mom suffered from Neuropathy. She was endlessly complaining about the pain from her feet due to pathological changes of her peripheral nerves on its lower part. I pitied her so much because she seldom had a good and sound sleep. My mom had diabetes, and as expected she developed burns and blisters on her feet. I was actually the one tasked to clean those and put on some ointment just to help her feel a little better.
I also cannot forget how my uncle suffered from the same disease. Neuropathy is something very usual for my uncle. He experienced this for several years. What I was amazed of was the fact that when you have Neuropathy, your feet are insensitive from cuts or calluses. As a result, my uncle was always surprised finding out more and more blisters all around his feet and even legs. This was an ordinary scenario for him.
Instead of getting disgusted on them and their feet, I searched on some possible aid just to at least relieve the pain from having Neuropathy.
My mom and my uncle felt good about it.
